Brenda A. Simmons Williams entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2026. Brenda was born on April 4, 1941, to the union of Albert and Doretha Ackers in New Orleans, LA. She was the sister of Chester Ackers, the late: Albert Ackers Jr., Abram Ackers, Elton Ackers, Lillie Dean Hampton and Veronica Becnel. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Oneal Simmons Sr. and Frank Williams Sr. Brenda was mother to Darah Lynn Jones (Michael) and Oneal Simmons Jr. Brenda’s 5 grandchildren include Tyron Davis III, Brandon Davis (Angela), Makelsii Simmons, Jocelyn Norman, and Joshua Norman. Brenda’s 4 great grandchildren include Jah’Saan Davis, Rah’Niyah Gaines, King George, and Tyron Davis IV. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with funeral services following at 12 PM. Brenda will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park immediately after the services have concluded.
