

Idaho at the age of 54. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Lampard. He is
survived by his three sons, Owen Patrick, Hayden Bryan, and Bryan Evan, also survived by his
mother Carol Bares Lampard, his sister Suzette Lampard Brantley (Keith), godchild Caroline
“Scarlet” Brantley, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, and friends.
He graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1985 and was Captain of the Rummel
Football Team. He went on to attend Ricks Junior College (Brigham Young University-Idaho)
located in Rexburg, Idaho, where he also served as Captain on the football team and graduated
in 1989. Bryan was the ultimate teammate who would sacrifice himself so someone else could
get the glory.
Bryan attended and graduated from Idaho State University. During his time at Idaho State, he
was an assistant football coach under Coach Gary Anderson. In recent years, Bryan continued
his passion for coaching football by assuming the role of volunteer football coach and strength
coach at Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls.
Following in the footsteps of his great grandfather John Cronin, grandfather Patrick Lampard,
and father Robert J. Lampard, he joined the New Orleans Police Department. He had a very
distinguished 27-year career earning numerous commendations and medals for valor and
outstanding work in the line of duty. He ascended to the rank of Commander of the Special
Operations Unit. He was a true mentor and friend to many members of the law enforcement
community. During Mardi Gras, he was renowned for making sandwiches for his men on duty
along the parade route. He was a member of the Police Association of New Orleans (PANO) -
Police Mutual Benevolent Association (PMBA).
Bryan was a creature of habit and had a huge heart. He was an avid reader and loved listening
to Sinatra while cooking dinner for family and friends on Sundays. All those who knew him
looked forward to his crawfish boils, fish fries, and legendary Halloween parties where he once
dressed as the courageous Evel Knievel. Bryan’s brave spirit was a mainstay throughout his
life.
He was a policeman, son, brother, uncle, mentor, chef, coach, and above all, father. Owen,
Hayden, and Bryan were the most important parts of his life. Never missing a game and
attending every practice possible, his happiest moments were spent supporting his sons.
Family and friends are invited to participate in a celebration of his life at Lake Lawn Metairie
Funeral Home, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 10:30 am until 2
pm, with Mass beginning at 2 pm. Burial will be private.
