When  I was 17 years old I was working at Sizzler Steak House and about to start College at UNO. I got a call from Calvin about a job at National American bank in the Data Center. This was 1976. He said it was $500 a month and I would be balancing savings accounts. I am not sure why I took the job except that the offer was coming from my uncle. Taking that job got me started on my career in Information Technology and led me to Loyola University where I met my wife and completed Law School. You never know sometimes how what you do can have a positive affect on someone's life.

I have thanked Uncle Calvin  over the years and he always just kind of played it off. I often think about him and I never knew why he thought of me when he offered me that job in 1976, but I am glad he did.

If there is a bank in Heaven I know he will be running it.

Calvin God has call his Angel home . You will be truly miss. Thank you for believing in me at Liberty Bank . And having the opportunity to work with such a nice person like you.
Rest on Calvin till we meet again.

My heart was broken to find out that he went home to be with the Lord. It was a pleasure making coffee for you in the morning. You sat so patiently while the coffee was brewing. I have gain 10pounds eating hot dogs and nachos because that's your favorite foods to eat. I'm truly going to miss you. Rest Well My Friend.

Calvin was a very nice person and we both liked to watch Judy during our lunch time, we laugh and talked about everything he will be missed and it was my pleasure in having a friend / coworker like him. R I P. Mr. Cal.

Calvin has always been a saint and went straight to heaven. My husband was a police officer with the New Orleans Police Department during the Moral Era. Back then, you had to live in New Orleans to be a policeman, but we lived in Metairie. Calvin generously allowed us to use his address in New Orleans. However, he didn't realize that one night, a situation arose where Eddie had to knock on his door at 3:00 A

Deepest  sympathy to Calvin's family and friends.  He was a wonderful part of our National American Bank family.

To the Kaufmann Family:
Both my mother and I had the pleasure of working with Calvin at National American Bank.  When I became part of the transit department, my mom was happy to know I would be working with Calvin.  She would always tell me that “Calvin was a good young man” and my mom didn’t lie!!  What I learned from him was how to earn the respect of my colleagues.   We always had a great working group and Calvin always had a way to make work fun.  We were like one big family!
When Sandy invited me to Calvin’s 80th birthday celebration I knew I had to be there.  I posted a couple of pictures from the special occasion.  The memories I have of Calvin will stay with me forever.
My deepest love and condolences are with you Sandy, your family and all who knew and loved Calvin.

I'm saddened that you're no longer with us physically, but your love, memories, and impact will always remain.  Mr.  Calvin was always so welcoming and kind.  Every time I saw him at work, he would stop to check in with me and that really made a difference.  Your positive energy had a way of lifting the people around you.   I am sending my prayers and love to your family.  I pray that God wraps his arms around them and provide them with the strength and peace they need to get through this difficult time.  You will be missed by your Liberty family.

Cal oh Cal, I can’t believe you are gone. As  you would always say you wasn’t leaving until the good lord called you, well on Sunday he made the call for you to go to your final resting place. I have so many memories and lessons that I still use today. I remember being this shy timid 16 year old working in the summer at the bank, who didn’t have a clue.  To  actually managing a department with your help. I still remember the day you changed my name,  you said Tangie oh no your name is Rosemary. As I type this all I can do is smile and drop tears because when I say you were one of a kind , you definitely were. You were very straight forward and whatever you felt you said looking back I can say I appreciate it. To the entire family thanks for sharing Cal with me he is the only person I allowed to get away with saying I was his only black daughter which was a daily bank joke. I can hear God saying well Done Cal now take your rest, you have been  a true  Pilar for the 28 years I have known you. You will truly be missed.

So sorry to hear of Calvin's passing, I worked with him at NAB and my dad knew him for years. RIP my friend.

Had so much fun on all the trips we took together.  There was never a dull moment with Calvin around.  Will cherish those memories forever.  Best brother-in-law we could ever have.  Loved him!  Garel and Richard
