

Calvin Gilbert Kaufmann, 81, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Calvin was born on April 15, 1943, in New Orleans to parents Valentine Kaufmann, Sr. and Philippine Gilbert Kaufmann. He spent many years working as a banker with Liberty Bank. After retirement, he spent his leisure time going to the casino and making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Sandra Clement Kaufmann; his daughters, Nikole Kaufmann Calhoun (Rory) and Chantal Kaufmann Thibodeaux (Craig); sons, Stephen Kaufmann (Kim), Michael Kaufmann (DeeDee), and Paul Kaufmann; his loving grandchildren, Candace (David), Jean (Josh), Mikey (Brittany), Blake (Renee), Ashley (Aaron), Kyle (Laila), Kaela (Megan), Demi (Kyle), Jade, Rory (Syan), Logan (Garrett), Abbie (Billy), Jake (Kenzie) and Gabby; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Ayden, Kaci, Harper, Dax, Rowan, Lyvvie, Maggie, Greyson, Gemma, Oliver, Brinley, Abrie, Atlas, and baby #15. He is also survived by his sisters, Sharon (Raymond), Carolyn (Mike); sister-in-law, Garel (Richard); as well as, James Locascio, Ronnie Bourgeois, Judy L. Voelker (Joe), Janice L. St. Phillip (Chuck), and Joycelyn L. Storniolo; loving and loyal friends, Terrie and Charley Day, Janice Bevon (Bernie), his work family, nieces, and nephews.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; his late wife, Jean L. Kaufmann; daughter-in-law, Joanne C. Kaufmann; grandson, Harry Kaufmann; sister, Phyllis K. Bourgeois; brother, Valentine Kaufmann (Ernestine); mother-in-laws, Hilda Clement and Jean B. Locascio; father-in-law, Joseph Locascio; sister-in-law, Marilyn Locascio; as well as brother-in-laws, Jessie Locascio (Celie) and Lawrence Storniolo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124 on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
