Born in Mirando City, Texas, Camilla loved the outdoors and always talked fondly of her love of Grand Isle where she spent many summers on the beach during her early years with her grandfather. She moved to New Orleans where she married Andre and raised their family. She worked for Landis Construction Company for many years. After retiring, they moved to Carriere, MS where she helped serve her community through her faith in God while dedicating her life to the care of her husband until his passing. She was an active member of St. Charles Boromeo Church in Picayune, MS. She volunteered in many organizations within her community including the Altar Society, Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary, and St. Vincent De Paul Society. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautiful property. She enjoyed traveling all over the world with both her daughters and their families. In 2016 her health forced her to move to Texas to be cared for by her loving family. Camilla lived her life quietly, in the shadow of others, caring for and loving all who knew her.
