She was preceded in death by her parents, Meyer and Beverly Kaplan; her brother, Michael G. Kaplan; and her nephew, Jacob Dinner.
Carli is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James L. Fried; her sister-in-law, Lucy Fried Dinner (Jeffrey); her brother-in-law, Edwin Michael Fried; her nephew, Joshua Dinner; her niece-in-law, Yesica Dinner de la Cruz; and her great niece and nephew, Gaby and Jefferson Dinner de la Cruz.
Carli was born on May 24, 1961 and raised in New Orleans. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University. Her career spanned 32 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and she retired in 2017.
Carli was a member of Temple Sinai, where she was also an art teacher. She was an active member of Toastmasters International and was an advocate for the Lighthouse for the Blind. Carli loved animals, and was a mother to many dogs over the years.
A private burial was held at Hebrew Rest Cemetery No. III in New Orleans.
