Carolyn Hull Smith

Carolyn Elizabeth Hull Smith passed away on February 23, 2021 at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cynthia L. Smith and loving husband, Clayton J. Smith. She is survived by her loving son, David M. Smith and his wife, Jerilyn; and wonderful grandsons, Brandon and Sean.

Carolyn is also survived by her sisters, Beverly H. Smith Adams and Edith H. Dye Walton; brother-in-law, Wesley L. Adams; nephew, Chris M. Adams; and niece, Erin L. Dye.

Carolyn was a medical technician in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corp. She later became a licensed practical nurse and employed by Hotel Dieu, University Medical Center, and continued practicing at Charity Hospital until she retired.

Carolyn was a native of New Orleans and after Katrina, a resident of her much loved Brandon, Mississippi. There, she was a devoted member of the Lakeland Presbyterian Church and blessed with a wonderful church family who loved and cared for her dearly.

Carolyn was also blessed with loving, caring, wonderful neighbors who the family thanks for their friendship and their care for her.

Carolyn was blessed with her faithful companion, Chloe (her 13 year old Jack Russel Terrier.) When God sees fit, we know they will be together again.

The family requests donations in memory of Carolyn to be made to The Humane Society.

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., a graveside service will be held at All Saint Mausoleum, which is located at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. On Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a Celebration of Life will be hosted at the American Legion located at 2431 Metairie Rd, Metairie, LA 70001.
