Catherine Hebert

Catherine Kempa Chiappinelli Hebert passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the age of 91. Catherine is survived by her children Richard Chiappinelli (Brenda) and Catherine C. Dunn (Durward III); grandchildren Durward Dunn IV, Catherine Steele Mumphrey (Nathan), Bryan Dunn (Sarah), George Dunn (Laura), Stacey Buzzell (Joshua), and Brittney Chiappinelli; great-grandchildren George Aidan Dunn, Robert Jude Dunn, and Kylie Mae Buzzell; stepchildren Andre Hebert (Linda), Suzanne Hebert, and Yvette Laird (George). She is preceded in death by her late husbands Bartolo Chiappinelli, Delbert Nelson and Leonard Hebert, Jr. Catherine was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She worked for Curtiss-Wright Aircraft during WWII. Catherine married, raised a family and moved to New Orleans in 1969. Here she began her career in many business endeavors. Catherine enjoyed snow skiing, golf and making jewelry. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM until service time. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
