Ms. Celeste Scheaffer Partain

Celeste Schaeffer Partain passed away at home on Saturday, May 17, 2014 around her loving family and friends. She was 89. Beloved wife of the late Charles Arnold Partain, Sr. Mother of Donald Ray Partain, Jr. and his wife, Sharon and Dana Marie Partain. Stepmother of Charles Arnold Partain, Jr. and Donald Ray Partain, Sr. and the late Dwayne Partain. Grandmother of Matthew and Andrew Hebert. Daughter of the late George William Scheaffer and Gertrude St. Pierre Scheaffer. Sister of Marian Lacoste and the late George Schaeffer and Joyce Arkle. Also survived by her beloved niece, Joyce Woodruff and nephew, Edward Lacoste, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Partain was a school teacher for many years and retired from the Orleans Parish School Board.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a service in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Services will be officiated by Rev. Donald Ray Partain, Jr. and Bishop Wayne Evans. Donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
