

Frenchie “Pops” Campos passed away on Wednesday May 28th, 2014 at East Jefferson Hospital. He leaves behind his wife, best-friend, high school sweetheart and dance partner of 62 ½ years, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Borne Campos along with three sons, Wayne (Brenda) Campos Sr., Michael Campos and Stephen (Verina) Campos. He is also survived by two daughters, Pamela Campos (Marty) Straub and Kim Campos Montamat (Al Jr.) Temes.
Pops had eight grandchildren, Courtney and Wayne Campos Jr., Teva (Jacob) Williams, Adrian (April) Straub, Celeste Straub (.J.) Badeaux, Justin Montamat and Danielle Montamat, and his “Lil Bup” Sierra Temes.
He was also survived by nine great grandchildren, Hunter, Sophia, twins-Scarlette and Harper Badeaux, Tyler, Briann and Holly Williams and Kevin and D.J. Faller.
Pops was the son of the late Deigo and Juliette Campos and brother of the late Louis “Lulu” Campos and David “Big Daddy” Campos.
He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 37 years of service. He was a past member of Old St. Roch Booster Club as well as Greater New Orleans Corvette Club.
All family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate his life to commemorate what an amazing man, Husband, Father, Grand & Great Grandfather he was.
Visitation will be Monday June 2nd, from 5pm to 8pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd. An additional visitation will be Tuesday June 3rd at the funeral home from 10am to 1pm with Mass at 1pm. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis, TN.
