Charles William Boes, of Metairie, Louisiana, passed away at the age of 89 on September 29, 2025. A native of the Irish Channel, he spent his career working for The Times-Picayune for 32 years until his retirement. He spent his free time enjoying LSU Baseball.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Francis Boes and Geraldine Bravender Boes; sisters, Barbara Ann Boes and JoAnne Boes Holmgren; and brother, Raymond Francis Boes.
He is survived by his sisters, Geraldine Elizabeth Boes and Rose Ann Boes; three nieces and their husbands; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with visitation prior at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. The family requests masses in Charles' honor instead of flowers.
