Charles A. Brand, Jr. passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the age of 58. Native of New Orleans, Louisiana and resident of Carriere, Mississippi. Charles was a Master Control Audio Engineer at Fox 8 for over 30 years. He received a Bachelor Degree in Communications from the University of New Orleans.
Beloved son of Charles and Shirley Brand. Loving father of Kaela Brand Trussell (Daniel) and Charles Brand, III. Brother of Dawn Bechtel (Thompson), Charlene Hirstius, and Stephanie Stephens (Ernie). He was affectionately known as Bubbie to Trey Bechtel (Chrystalynne) (Trenton, Brooklynn, Beck, Beaux, Kimber), Ernie Stephens (Heather) (Sydney, Maci, Luke), Jacob Stephens (Karlee) (Maevery), Cristen D’ Albor (Andrew) (Logan), Kimmy Carollo (Carlo), and Courtney Stephens. Nephew of Edna Melerine. Godson of Paulie Bertucci (Bevelry) and Bonnie Brand.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Ochsner Hospital for the excellent care that they provided to Charles and his family during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home & Cemeteries, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
