Charles "Charlie" Patrick Hodgins

Charles “Charlie” Patrick Hodgins, age 65, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2022, with family and friends by his side. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Norman F. Hodgins, Sr. and Audrey C. Hodgins Hare. He is survived by his daughters, Claire Hodgins Lebo (Michael and daughter, Cecilia) and Camille Hodgins Delgado (Gaston) of Austin, TX. Survived as well by siblings, Norman F. Hodgins, Jr. (Luellen), Leo M. Hodgins (Nancy), Jane Hodgins Chizzoniti (Paul), James G. Hodgins (Kathleen), Eileen M. Hodgins, Paul P. Hodgins, Patrick B. Hodgins, as well as many nieces and nephews. Additionally, many cousins of the extended Coogan and Hodgins’ families and his lifelong friends. A naturally gifted two sport athlete at Archbishop Rummel High School, he went on to attend Nicholls State University on a football scholarship. With a passion for cooking and gregarious personality, he worked in the restaurant industry for many years and later in the construction industry. Above all, Charlie was most proud of his two daughters, Claire and Camille, and ecstatic about the birth of his granddaughter, Cecilia Lebo, in December. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 12:30PM until 2:30PM. The interment will immediately follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Ochsner Medical Center Hospital and Compass Hospice Care in Slidell.
