Charles Felix Illanne, age 89, a native of Arabi, Louisiana, and current resident of St. Rose, Louisiana, was received by the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Charles was a loving husband, married to JoAnn Inguagiato Illanne for 62 years. He is survived by his two children, Charlotte Illanne Moore and husband Billy, and Charles Vincent Illanne and wife Barbara. Beloved grandfather to Lindsey Moore Lousteau (Christopher), Logan Moore (Deanna), Carly Illanne and Olivia Illanne. Great grandfather to Jack Christopher Lousteau.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Illanne and Isabel Grundmeyer. Charles attended Holy Cross High School (Class of 1955) and honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Charles’s life by attending the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11 AM with a Mass following at 1 PM. Charles will be laid to rest in All Saints Mausoleum immediately after the chapel service has concluded.
