Charles (Chip) Monroe Nice, III passed away on January 1, 2015. He was 60 years old. Beloved father of Charles Monroe Nice, IV and Andrew (Ace) Cranmer Nice; husband of Jewelynn Ruark Nice; much loved son of Mary Ellen Cranmer Nice and the late Dr. Charles Monroe Nice, Jr.; and brother to Norma Jane Murphy, Pamela Michele Nice, Deborah Jo Nice, Julianne Nice, Thomas Cranmer Nice, Missy O’Donovan and Rebecca Nice Parrone. Chip was a raconteur par excellence, a generous host who loved the laughter of others, a loyal friend, and a loving father. He was one of a kind and has left a little bit of himself with all who knew him.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church, 3900 St. Charles Avenue, at 11 a.m. on January 10; visitation at 10 a.m. at the church.
