Charles A. Ricks, Jr.

Charles was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years Marguerite C. Ricks. He is survived by children Beth Homer (Fred), Cindy Garic (Ronnie), and Charles Ricks III (Susan); grandchildren Christopher (Lauren), Ron (Natalie), Mark (Rebecca), Nicole (Kyle), Angelle (Jeff), Josh (Staci), Jonathan, Corey, and Christine; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Charles served in the United States Marine Corps, receiving a Korean Service Medal with two stars and a United Nations Service Medal. Charles learned carpentry from his father and used his love of building and creating to make exquisite furniture and renovating and building homes. 'If Dad can't fix it, nobody can fix it!' He also loved gardening and working in his yard. Charles was loved by everyone.

The family would like to give special thanks to Notre Dame Hospice, and welcomes donations made to St. Jude in lieu of flowers.

A visitation for Charles will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70002, followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00 PM, with interment thereafter at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
