He worked as a chef and in general services for the City of New Orleans. He enjoyed playing darts, playing pool, walking long distances and driving. He also liked watching movies and shows, especially those in the sci-fi, fantasy, superhero, and action genres. As a New Orleans native, he loved Mardi Gras. Christopher enjoyed helping his parents at the snack bar in New Orleans City Hall whenever he was available. He will be remembered as a very sociable person; he enjoyed talking to others, whether they were a friend of 20+ years or a complete stranger.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Antonio Chupina and Reina Chupina, and his brother, Erick Chupina.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of the relatives and friends that came and saw him at the hospital during his last days. The family also extends their appreciation to the relatives and friends who will come to the funeral to send him off right and continue to be supportive of our family. Finally, thank you to all of the people who kept Christopher in their thoughts and prayers during this time and in the future.
The services will be on Monday, October 5, 2026. The visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. The funeral mass will take place at 1:30 p.m. on the same day at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 4640 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
