Cliffordbryan Fenner Schmitt, living patron saint of family, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 5, in Mandeville, LA. A product of the Fenner and Lapeyre families and master of the random act of kindness, she built a loving family consisting of her three daughters, Cliffordbryan Belen, Caroelise Belmont, and Charlotte Marquez, their spouses, 10 grandchildren and a great-grand-daughter. Beyond her traditional family, she also counted as family a host of people who entered her life as neighbors, parishioners, and dear friends. She helped raise many children, comforted the sick, and blessed those in between with a lifetime of service, support, and companionship. All who ever knew her were exposed to her unconditional generosity. A celebration of her remarkable life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 12 with a mass at noon at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Cliffordbryan's obituary said volumes about the kindness she showed in her lifetime. When I returned to working fulltime downtown, my two children were attending St. Francis Xavier School. There I met Cliffordbryan, who saw a need for Jennifer and Tricia to get to their babysitter after school. So she drove them, with her own children riding along, to the Clearview Pkwy./W. Esplanade area to drop them off. Every school day. Her generosity helped me immensely! I loved to hear her speak; she had great diction and a command of the English language. I know Cliffordbryan, Caroelise and Charlotte and their family members will miss her very much.

Cliffordbryan has always been loving and caring to everyone at all times. She lived a saintly life taking care of her children and grandchildren and her Mother in Law and Father in Law Marian and Elwood Schmitt with a lifetime of loving care and service.

May she rest in peace and remember us also.

I have left a childhood memory of Kippy and how much she meant to me and my family but failed to include a recent memory . Kippy was not only kind to people but also animals. She had a passion for dachshund dogs. She had always had them. I do rescue and she personally hand crocheted each and every one of my dogs their own special blanket for winter time. She made about 30 of them which Owen would then mail to me. Kippy had the hugest heart of anyone on this earth and she will be so dearly missed. But everytime i see one of my dogs burrow in their blanket i will remember her. My sincere condolences to all the family and friends who will have an empty place in their hearts.

Kippy was such huge part of my childhood . She loved me unconditionally and that is so very very rare to find. She bought me many many beautiful dresses i never would have had. Her presence in a room filled it with love. She was truely an angel on earth. May she rest in peace. She will live forever in my heart. I never ever heard one complaint out of Kippy no matter what the circumstances. Love you Kippy . Fly pain free with the Lord. God bless

Kippy taught me "love"--not 'sexual love' or 'love of money' or 'love of power', but the kind of 'Our-Father-Who-Art-In-Heaven Love!' Not many have that. She lived for others; espcially babies! Babies of all races and sexes. I don't think Kippy ever--I mean ever--met a baby she didn't want to hold, cuddle, feed and spoil. No, not a one. She is now in glory with the Lord. I will miss her but never forget her.
