Courtney was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended Mercy Academy where she graduated in 1987. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of New Orleans in 1995, and later a Master of Science in Healthcare Management in 2002.
Courtney started her career in computer consulting where she programmed, designed, and implemented information technology systems for a variety of industries. Most recently, she served in a long-standing role at 9th Way Insignia as an Information Technology Program Director. The family would like to express their appreciation to 9th Way Insignia for the unwavering kindness and support they provided Courtney.
Courtney engaged in many philanthropic endeavors, serving as the Cookbook Chair for the Junior League of New Orleans, co-chairing the Poydras Home Art Show & Patron Party, participating in events promoting breast cancer awareness, and volunteering for many of her children’s activities at Isidore Newman School.
For Courtney, her family always came first. She could be found at all school functions and sporting events to support her children and deeply valued the importance of family traditions. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, sitting on the beach, reading for book club, and attending social activities at both the Southern Yacht Club and the Orleans Club. Gifted with an eye for creativity, Courtney found joy in needlepointing, party planning, and any decorative pursuit. More than anything, she found her greatest happiness in time spent with the people she loved most, her friends and family.
