Darryl E. Giesemann

Darryl is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Angelique A. Giesemann; his daughter, Laura G. Byerley (Brandon); his son, Eric S. Giesemann (Damaris); his sister, Debra G. Anderson (Jimmy); his brother, David A. Giesemann (Sandra); his sister-in-law, Carol Giesemann; and his three grandchildren, Ruby Byerley, Bailey Byerley, and Rosemary Giesemann. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his hunting buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick A. and Ruby Hall Giesemann; his sister, Dianne M. Giesemann; and his brother, Dennis A. Giesemann.

Darryl was born in New Orleans on August 7, 1957. He attended Southwestern Louisiana University and later worked in the Information Technology profession, eventually retiring from Capital One in 2014. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing in the stock market.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 8:30AM. The interment will be private.
