Deborah Pactor Gentcher Rice, age 67 years, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home in Slidell, LA. Beloved wife of William H. Rice, Sr. Loving mother of Tammy Lynn Shields–Rice (Mona), Lisa Sands, William H. “B.J.” Rice, Jr. (Kasey), and Craig R. Rice (Christina). Daughter of the late Irving L. and Esther Feldman Pactor. Grandmother of Austin and Bella Rice. Sister of Johanna Rau (the late A.J. Rau), Marlene Lew (Morris), Leeba Friedman (Arthur), and Sander Pactor (Carol). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Rice would like to thank the staff of Ochsner Cancer Center in Covington, LA for helping her survive and battle cancer for the past 10 years. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the Jewish Burial Rite Cemetery, 4321 Frenchman St., New Orleans, LA at 1:30 PM.
