Denis Erwin Vega, a devout Catholic, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 28, from a Pulmonary Embolism. Denis was the devoted and loving father of Isabella Blakely Vega, Ethan Gabriel Vega, and Reagan Alexander Vega. He loved his children with the same depth he loved Jesus. He was so proud to enroll Isabella and Ethan into LSU this past fall and looked forward to seeing Reagan’s high school and college choices. His children are so proud of his co-parenting efforts with Annabelle McNulty and Lindsay Dimitri, which always went above and beyond to ensure their needs were met. Denis’ love was evident in the wonderful relationships he had with his large extended family and an even larger group of close friends.
As a proud Alumnus of St. John Vianney High School, The University of New Orleans, and Loyola University Law School, Denis stayed active with his large circle of friends while practicing law and developing real estate in the New Orleans area. Denis was a proud and active member of Theta Xi fraternity during his time at UNO, and remained very active with the St. Clement of Rome Men’s Club as a proud father and St. Clement parishioner. His creative and fun-loving personality will be missed by many!
Denis is the beloved son of the late Erwin Jose Vega and the late Marie Hagen Vega. He is the loved brother of Patricia A Vega (deceased), Gary J Vega (Jeannie), Rick H Vega (Victoria), Cathy M Vega, Lynne P Vega (deceased), Glen A Vega (deceased), Cindy V Racine (Marc).
