Devin James Cannon

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 12 PM in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. Fr. Luis Rodriguez of St. Clement of Rome will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.

Devin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 18, 1987. He attended Holy Cross High School for three years then moved to Ponchatoula, Louisiana, where he graduated from Ponchatoula High School class of 2006. He was a member of the Holy Cross Swim Team and Tiger Band. Devin was a member of the Young Marines at a young age and joined the ROTC at Ponchatoula High School.

Devin worked at Goodyear commercial tire division. He enjoyed four wheelers, construction projects, and gaming. Devin was known by all for his heart of gold, his giving nature, and loved by all he came across. Most important to him were his family and friends, truly the most kind and considerate human being on earth. He was most affectionately known as “Our beautiful boy.”

Devin is lovingly remembered by his parents (Edward III and Kristen Cannon), his beloved brothers (Edward IV aka Buddy and Ryan), sister-in-law (Leanne), nephew (Edward V), grandmother (Jo Ann Cardenia), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many other family members and numerous friends.
