

Diane Marie Majoue passed away on December 14, 2025, at 68 years of age. She was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 22, 1957. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, she graduated from Ursuline High School and attended The University of New Orleans. She retired as an Executive Secretary from the Whitney Bank and in her retirement worked at the Superdome and Smoothie King Center. Diane was a charter member of the Krewe of Muses and an avid league bowler at Colonial Lanes.
She was predeceased by her father, Lt. Clifton E. Majoue, Jr. USN, her stepfather, Kenneth J. Gelpi, Sr., and her mother, Gayle Fontana Majoue Gelpi. She is survived by her four siblings, William E. Majoue, Clifton E. Majoue III, Kenneth J. Gelpi, Jr. (Diane), and Gayle Gelpi Landrum (Glenn); nieces and nephews, Shelly Majoue Ancar (Chandler), William E. Majoue Jr., Jeremey E. Majoue, Daniel R. Majoue, Samantha J. Majoue, Amy Nicole Neale, Elise M. Landrum, and Grace L. Landrum, as well as numerous cousins, and other relatives. She is also survived by many close friends, especially her sister-in-law and dear friend, Teri McNeill Majoue.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caring doctors, nurses, and staff of the Neuro ICU at East Jefferson General Hospital and The Sanctuary at Passages Hospice.
Services will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a mass at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Father Beau Charbonnet. Interment will follow.
