Dolores Vitale Diecidue

She was born in New Orleans to the late Joseph Vitale and Mary Monzu Vitale and resided in Metairie, La. She dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife to the late August Charles Diecidue, mother to her two children, August Joseph Diecidue (Gina), Gina Diecidue Maher (Kelly), and grandmother to Haley Maher, Cole Maher, and Anna desBordes. Everything she did revolved around her family whether it was going to eat Saturday lunch, watching her grandkids play sports, or just going to the movies.

She worked for many years at LSU Dental School where she retired after Katrina in 2005. She was a member of the Senior Center on Metairie Road where she spent her days enjoying many activities and socializing with her friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers Russel Vitale and Joseph Vitale Jr., and sister Mary Ann Couch. She is survived by her sister Sarah Whalen.

Family and friends are invited to attend the services on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 11:00-1:00pm at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La. A mass will start at 1pm with the interment to follow at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.
