

Dolores Heintz Reynolds went to meet her loving husband William (Billy “Ace”) Reynolds Jr. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the age of 85. They were married 58 happy years until his death in 2009. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian Friedman Heintz. She is survived by her brothers Joseph Heintz, Robert Heintz (Jocelyn), Franklin Heintz (Ethelyn) and James Heintz and her beloved sister Jacquelyn “Jackie” Heintz Walter (Martin). Dolores is also survived by her in-laws Louis Reynolds (Marilyn) and Mary Palmisano Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Heintz (Claudette), brothers-in-law Norman and Larry Reynolds and sister-in-law Amy Marus Reynolds. She has numerous nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Dolores was born in New Orleans and was a devout Catholic and member of St. Clement of Rome Parish since its’ inception. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and lived her life guided by her Catholic faith. She was the most giving and generous person of both time and money, contributing to many local and national charities. There was nothing she would not do for her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and their wives William (Billy) Reynolds III (Sue) of The Woodlands, TX, Patrick Reynolds (Tammy) of Prairieville, LA and Sean Reynolds (Missy) of Metairie, LA. The Lord gave her the gift of seven grandchildren: Charlene Reynolds and Rebecca Reynolds McDonald (Jason) of The Woodlands, TX, Laurin Reynolds of Tampa, FL, Ashleigh (Cory Paille) and Zac Reynolds of Prairieville, LA and Caroline and Hailey Reynolds, and five great-grandchildren Chloe and Luke, Elijah and Quinn McDonald and Caleb Paille. Her passion in life was her sons, spending time with her grandchildren and her Lord. She also enjoyed attending baseball reunions in New Iberia with her husband and playing bingo. Dolores was a former member of the Mardi Gras Krewes of Diana and Isis. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, grandmother and sister who treasured her family. Dolores said of her illness, “Don’t cry for me. Pray for me. “ Visitation will be held at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 10a.m. until noon with a Mass to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
