To Miss Dorothy's family you have my deepest sympathy, I met Miss Dot at the nursing home, she was one special lady, we used to joke & laugh with each other, I grew close to her in the last few months & met some of her family, I know she will be greatly missed, rest in peace Miss Dot, until we meet again, your friend, Tom.

Dorothy was very much a part of my childhood in New Orleans. My mother often took me to visit my Aunt Myrtle, my father’s sister, at the house on Bell street. Not all my Villarrubia cousins were then living in New Orleans, as I remember, but I received an abundance of stories about all of them. Dorothy has always been a part of the family I remember so fondly even though I haven’t lived in New Orleans for many years. I will continue to honor her and am grateful for the memories.
