Dorothy Ingrassia

Ingrassia, Dorothy, age 83, of Metairie, LA, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 in New Orleans, LA. Ms. Ingrassia had a larger than life personality. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bouree, and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Roy J. and Juanita T. Veron, her first husband of 33 years, Hilton Castanedo Sr, second husband of over 10 years Joseph Ingrassia, one son, Roy Castanedo, one sister, Juanita Lutenbacher, grandsons; Joseph and Michael Franks. She is survived by one Son Hilton “Skip”(Netty) Castanedo of Metairie, one daughter ,Cathy (Greg) Thaller of Metairie. Grandchildren; Emily (Brandon ) Hays, Matthew (Liz) Franks, Casey (Justin) Castanedo, and Shaun Castanedo. Great Grandchildren; Claire, Nikolai, and Audrey Franks. One brother, Wallace Veron (Lynn) of Metairie, LA, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Ophelia Lee and the staff at Passages Hospice. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday January 2, 2014 at 12 Noon.
