Ms. Dottie was a great and noble lady, always gracious and taking an interest in each and every new realtor at our Uptown office. When I first received my license 24 years ago, Ms. Dottie was so very encouraging, patient and always ready to be of help. no matter how large or small my need was. I admired her fortitude and her unwavering love amd example of the Gertrude Gardner motto of committed service to all. She will surely be dearly missed. My sincerest condolences to the entire Gardner family.

I've been truly blessed  to have had such a great mother in my life for 65 years. It's been my very good fortune to have had not only one of the best Mom's in the world, but also one of the best Grandmother's in the world to our children! Dottie was lovingly known as "Grandma Dot" to Chip and Crystal Gertrude, and Grandma Dot was always very loving and kind to them from the time they were born, Grandma Dot also gave a very loving look to her very first great grandchild, Reese Gertrude Phillips, who is less than 3 weeks old. but loved meeting her "Great Grandma Dot!" Being a fantastic Grandmother and Great Grandmother apparently runs in our family since Gertrude Gardner was also one of the best Grandmothers in the world to my sister Gail and I, and one of the best Great Grandmothers to Chip and Crystal Gertrude. The only downside to being very blessed with wonderful mothers and grandmothers in our family is the tremendous sense of loss that Gail. Crystal Gertrude, Chip, Sharon and I are now feeling with the passing on of such a great mom and grandmother to our family, Dottie was a beautiful person inside and out which makes the pain of losing her physical presence here on Earth very painful for us now, so please understand why you see some or all of us break down and cry at times during the next several days. We know the Truth the Bible shares regarding eternal life: that the special part of my mother which we loved the most, her Spirit and Soul, is still very much alive and well for all eternity and that she is now enjoying Heaven's infinite Divine Love, Joy , Peace and Understanding of God's plan!   Although we can find some comfort in knowing this "Truth" that Dottie has now received her wonderful well-deserved promotion to a joyful eternal life in Heaven, this "Truth" still does not totally eliminate the tremendous sense of  loss our family is now feeling because we greatly miss her physical presence with us here on Earth. Since Mom also had such a great work ethic enjoying working in our Uptown Office almost every single day until she physically could no longer do so, I'm praying she will now want to take on the new challenging job of becoming our family's best Guardian Angel.                                                                         In summary, our family greatly misses Dottie because we greatly loved her just like she loved us; and we will always miss her beautiful caring presence which had to leave us until God decides it's time for us to meet again!
