Edmundo was an officer and artillery specialist in the Cuban army. He rose to the rank of captain. While serving, he was a star member of the army polo team. In the United States, Edmundo worked as a plant operator at Shell Norco Refining Company from 1969 until 1989. Edmundo enjoyed music, history, philosophy and finance, as well as tango dancing.
