Edward M. Gordon, III, born January 22, 1941, passed away on December 6, 2022. He was a longtime practicing attorney in Jefferson Parish, and the surrounding parishes for many years. He was a past president of the Jefferson Parish Bar Association and a past member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s House of Delegates. Mr. Gordon received a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward M. Gordon, Jr., his mother, Inez Walker Gordon, his sisters Joan Gordon Alexander and Elaine Gordon Hoffmann, and his sons Edward “Chip” M. Gordon, IV and Robert Hunter Gordon. He is survived by numerous cousins and his grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the E.M. Gordon tomb on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. located in Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Donations to any Catholic charity are preferred in lieu of flowers.
