Elaine Forschler Faller of New Orleans, LA passed away peacefully in her sleep after 98 years of a dynamic, loving life in New Orleans, Tuscaloosa, AL, and San Mateo, CA. She loved God, her family, church, and friends, and was a friend to all animals. An active and generous volunteer, she served as an Edzoocator for the Audubon Zoo, bringing small animals to schools and nursing homes. She was a life-long Christian Scientist, serving the communities where she lived in many different capacities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aimee Revol Forschler and Herbert Howell Forschler, and her beloved husband, Harold Elden Faller.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Harold Faller (Jane) and Marjorie/ZuZu Faller Freyer (Tony); her grandchildren, Michael Faller, Elizabeth Faller Eysymontt, and Allan Freyer; and her nine great-grandchildren.
Because of both Elaine and Harold’s recognition of the importance of education in the community, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Harold and Elaine Faller Scholarship Fund at Isidore Newman School. Donations by check can be made payable to the Isidore Newman School Foundation with Elaine Faller in the memo line mailed to Isidore Newman School, Attn: Advancement Office, 1903 Jefferson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70115. You may also give in Elaine’s memory online at www.newmanschool.org/giving.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held next weekend at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries.
