

Elizabeth Torres Addison passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Clyde Jacob Addison for 48 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Addison; parents, Alfred R. Torres and Jewell Marie Smith Torres; son, Joseph Jay Addison; sisters, Rose Torres Poche and Alfreda Torres Turner; grandson, Bryan Peterson; and great granddaughter, Ariana Arline Wood. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 23, 1932. She lived in Chalmette and then Slidell, Louisiana. She was a faithful member of White Dove Church and loved to practice her faith by reading her bible, singing hymns, and was a devout prayer warrior for those in need of prayer. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening, arranging cut flowers, and helping others. One of her greatest joys was singing hymns on her front porch swing. She particularly enjoyed going on road trips with Clyde and her grandchildren.
Loving mother to Amy Peterson and Alfred George Addison; grandchildren, Lori Pichon (Duke), Kevin Addison (Jennifer), Melissa Addison, Michelle Addison, Tracy Brunet (David), Mandy Lambert (Shaun), Christopher Ashworth, and Stephanie Ashworth; and daughter-in-law, Carole Addison, as well as several great grandchildren.
In accordance with Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no public funeral service.
