Elizabeth Marquette Hurst passed away on Friday October 3, 2014 at age 86. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Arthur Marquette Sr. and Theresa Voelkel Marquette, and brother Joseph Arthur Marquette Jr. She is survived by four daughters Betty Jo McNeely (Larry), Claire Gordon, Barbara Thompson (David), Catherine Navarre (Patrick); and six grandchildren. Elizabeth worked for many years at the St. Tammany Parish Hospital and the Biloxi VA Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Humane Society.
