Elizabeth Jane (Betty) Harrison Cutrera entered into eternal life on Monday, January 23, 2017. She was 81 and a native of New Orleans. Loving wife for 56 years of John Cutrera and dedicated mother to John Cutrera, Jr. (Angel), Robert Cutrera (Kim), Beth Bowles (Michael), and James Cutrera (Sandra). Devoted Grandmother to Brandon and Harrison Cutrera, Charleigh and Elizabeth Cutrera, and Mikayla Bowles. Caring sister of James Harrison, Lois Hoover, Mary Ann Trevett, and Paul Harrison, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy Navo Harrison, and her siblings Lorraine Pentes and Benjamin Harrison.
She was helped by two special ladies near the end of her life – Felicia Mercadel and Lisa Ford.
She taught school at Sacred Heart and retired as a preschool teacher from St. Clement of Rome. She enjoyed the times spent with family and friends, especially those with her many card groups.
A celebration of her life Mass will be held at St. Clement of Rome, 3978 W. Esplanade Ave. in Metairie, on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
