

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Betty Lou Curry (John) and Lisa Labarre; her sons, Jay Labarre (Tere) and Steven Labarre (Stephanie); 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband James “Jimmy” Labarre; her son, David Labarre; her daughter, Janice Mizelle; her sisters, Catherine G. Munaco, Vita Harlton and Francis Giuffré; her brothers, Phillip P. Giuffré and Anthony J. Giuffré; and her parents, Santo and Vivian S. Giuffré.
Elizabeth was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Denham Springs, LA and former parishioner of St. Dominic Church in New Orleans, LA until Hurricane Katrina. She was also a member of Threads of Love, Young at Heart and the St. Joseph’s Altar Society.
A wonderfully strong woman whose love of life was apparent to the very end, Betty never met a stranger through her years of work, travel and abundant social calendars. Her strong faith guided her to be an amazing mother and her love of family will be forged on to the next generation filled with incredible memories.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service to be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment in Metairie Cemetery will be privately held at later date.
