Elizabeth "Beth" Todd passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the age of 68, after a courageous five-year battle with a rare degenerative neurological disease. She was born on September 18, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee to Irene Henderson Fager and Neil Bryan Blount.
Beth spent periods of her childhood in both Tennessee and Texas before graduating from high school in Jackson, Mississippi. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, receiving her bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandise. Following college, Beth went on to pursue a career as a Delta flight attendant for over 25 years.
Beth married James "Trey" Todd in 1985, and together they moved to New Orleans to begin building a family together. She was the proud mother of Amie (Gillie) and Alex (Sheffield) and grandmother (or "BB") to Luca, Bo, Sophie, and Kemper. Her family was her whole world.
Beth will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her fierce loyalty, her sense of humor, her adoration of the mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado, and her love for her family and friends. Though her life was unfairly cut short, she did not waste a moment of the time she was given. She traveled to six continents, she hiked extraordinary mountains, and she was an avid skydiver and scuba diver. Among her many accomplishments, she was especially proud of earning the prestigious rank of Life Master in bridge.
Beth is survived by her husband, Trey; her daughters, Amie (and her husband, Benjamin) and Alex (and her husband, Stuart); her grandchildren, Luca, Bo, Sophie, and Kemper; her mother, Irene; and her brother, Clay. She was preceded in death by her father, Neil.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00am, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Beth’s life will immediately follow at 11:00am in the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home’s chapel.
Beth will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
