Elizabeth “Liz” Truxillo passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by the love of her family. Liz was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 4, 1948, and was a resident of Metairie. She was an Executive Secretary to the Coleman Family for 58 years and enjoyed helping people.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emily Harrison; her sister Barbara and her nephews Edward Laurent Jr. and Brian Laurent.
Liz is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Godfrey Truxillo; her loving nieces and nephews Joseph Laurent, Grace Laurent, David Laurent, and Trudy Kyzar; her adoring great nieces and nephews Lucky Kyzar, Alyssa Miller, Frances Rivera, Emma Laurent, Austin Laurent, Rylan Laurent, Brittany Laurent, Laura Turpin, and Joseph Laurent, Jr. Also survived by many great great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
