She is survived by her children David Beam (Tiffany) and Shannon Branford (Kevin). She is also survived by her three loving grandchildren, Madison Smith (Jadon), Ronnie Bergeron, and Charlie Beam.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Ronald Beam. She was blessed to find friendship and love again and was married to David Kramer.
Prior to marriage, she was a Dominican sister, Sr. Mary of the Cross, and spent 5 years at the Monastery of the Infant Jesus in Lufkin, TX.
Emma was dedicated to educating children and worked as an elementary school teacher for many years at Christ the King in Terrytown, LA and St. Andrew the Apostle in Algiers, LA.
The family would like to thank her team at Ochsner Health for their excellent care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans on October 29, 2026 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
