Erling Peter Rabe, III

Our loving son, father, and brother, Erling Peter Rabe III, age 35, was born on April 1, 1990 in New Orleans, LA to Pamela Virginia (Evans) Rabe and the late Erling Peter Rabe Jr. He then proceeded to heaven on March 27, 2026. He proudly attended Saint Stanislaus Catholic for middle and high school, in Bay St. Louis, MS, and later Delgado Community College.

Erling was an amazing storyteller and always quick to joke. He had a great love for music, movies, sports, and creative design. Most of all, his favorite in the world was his daughter, Stella, his ray of sunshine.

Erling is survived by his mother, Pamela Virgina (Evans) Rabe, his daughter, Stella R. Rabe, her mother, Jourdan M. Froeba, his sister, Lori V. Rabe, his grandmother, Helen La'Clede (Nichols) Evans, his aunt, Betty A. Rabe, and his uncles, Morris J. Rabe (Lacy), and Charles C. Evans (Dana).

He was preceded in death by his father, Erling Peter Rabe Jr., his grandparents, Erling Peter Rabe Sr., Rita May (Farrugia) Rabe, and Charles Arther Evans, and his aunt, Bonnie A. Rabe.

Erling will always be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, and friend to all.

Please join our family for a memorial mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. This will be followed by the burial at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. There will be a further celebration of life to share memories and comfort food at the parish house for St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of New Orleans, Chaistrom House. Located at 1031 S. Carrollton Ave, New Orleans, LA 70118 and will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
