Ethel D. Huff, aged 101, died peacefully Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born December 15, 1916, in New Orleans, the daughter of Victor and Alma D'Gerdamo. Ethel graduated with a Master of Education Degree from Northwestern University. She retired from the Jefferson Parish School System after forty years of service. She then taught an additional ten years at the Lakeshore Hebrew Day School. Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Britton McKinley Huff. She is survived by two daughters, Bobbi (Gerald) Peltier and Jerrie (Don) Owens; two grandsons, Todd (Mimi) Owens and David (Tuesday) Owens; three great-grandchildren Sydney, Noah and Britton. From her birth to her death, Ethel (Granny) nourished people around her with love and faith. The family will greet friends and family from 10:00 a.m until 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
