Evelyn Gaspard Auld passed away on August 21, 2026, at 86 years of age. She was born on February 21, 1940 in New Orleans, LA. She attended Dominican High School in New Orleans, Southeastern Laboratory School in Hammond, and Mercy Hospital Nursing School. Evelyn was a member of NAIM at St Peter Catholic Church in Covington, Buena Vista Garden Club in New Orleans, and the Crestwood neighborhood rosary group. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Stuart Donald Auld, and her parents, Edward Joseph Gaspard, Jr. and Lucille Evelyn Hoover Gaspard.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Ann Brewer Doiron; sons, Phillip Stuart Auld and Stuart Charles Auld; grandchildren, Christopher Allen Doiron and Joseph Edward Doiron; and great-grandchild, Thomas Joseph Doiron.
The family would like to give special thanks to her doctors and nurses at LCMC Lakeview Hospital and the Hospice House in Slidell.
The services will take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington LA 70433. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of mass at 12:00 pm, officiated by Father Rodney Bourg. The interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124.
