Exie Albritton Oster passed away suddenly on February 23, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born in Miami, Florida to the late Roy and Molcy Sapp Albritton on December 19, 1927. She was a gifted homemaker who enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and The Voice. She was a loving caregiver to her mother-in-law, Agnes Oster, and her four grandchildren and loved cooking for her family! She enjoyed playing the slots at the casino and enjoyed her daily six ounce sangria wine and having her customary three scoops of Bluebell homemade vanilla ice cream topped with Hershey syrup! She liked getting manicures and pedicures, getting her hair done, and looking her best!
She is preceded in death by: her husband of 65 years, Louis J. Oster, Jr.; her daughter, Jeanne Leblanc; her sisters, Evelyn and Elaine; her brother, Roy; and her grandson, Adam Lee Oster. She is survived by her children, John C. Oster (Veneta), Kenneth L. Oster (Donna); grandchildren, Monique May Casey, Zoe Smith (Michael), Courtney Jochum (Charlie), Christopher Leblanc, and Laura Adams (Jordan); beloved great grandchildren, Camille, William, Gavin, Cody, and Carlie; sister-in-law, Angelina Oster; niece, Janet Coffelt; and son-in-law, Raymond Leblanc Jr.
The family would like to give special thanks to the ER staff at the Northshore Ochsner as well as her devoted caregivers, Charlene and Julia. Exie will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service officiated by Fr. Edward Grice on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest in Lake Lawn Park following the services.
