Frances Leona Rayner died Monday, June 1, 2026 peacefully at her home. She was 82. Frances was born in Plaquemine, lived in Baton Rouge, and was a resident of Metairie for the past 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Chatelain; granddaughters, Ashton Chatelain and Danielle Tew; five great-grandsons, Ethan, Eli, Ezra, Joseph and Ryder; and a sister, Sandra King. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rayner, and son, Francis Rayner. The services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow within Metairie Cemetery.
