Frank Pelicano

Frank Anthony Pelicano passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015. Frank was born on May 10, 1941 in New Orleans and resided in Metairie for over 40 years, where he was the previous owner of Zip’s Lounge in New Orleans. Frank attended De La Salle and Warren Easton. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sylvia Peyton Pelicano; and was a loving father and PawPaw to April Pelicano Duersel (Mace), Robert Pelicano, Frank Anthony “Tony” Pelicano (Shannon); grandchildren Jessica Richard, Adam Pelicano, Dylan Pelicano, Peyton Duersel, and Justin Pelicano; and two sisters Linda Pelicano Sciambra and Mary Ann Pelicano Espinosa; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert DeVay. Frank was a talented athlete who played football at De La Salle, loved tennis, playing golf with his friends, and adored watching his grandchildren play sports. Frank loved socializing at Finn McCool’s with his buddies and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Metairie Cemetery immediately following the services.
