

Frieda Theresa Eder (Haas), age 92 years, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 31, 1925. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Chicago until 1989 when she moved to New Orleans. Frieda was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church as well as an active member of the Senior Citizens' group of St. Francis Xavier and St. Catherine of Sienna parishes. Although Frieda was born and raised in Chicago IL, she was proud of her German and Austrian ancestry. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the New Orleans Saints. She also loved going to Mardi Gras parades. Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Dutch" Eder; her parents, Theresa and John Haas; and her sister, Millie Sang. Loving mother of Mallory (Kevin) Pollard, grandmother of Christopher (Ana Cristina) Pollard and Meghan Pollard Leypoldt, and great-grandmother of Piper Leypoldt, Lex Leypoldt and Mateo Pollard. She was aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks for the care and support from Dr. Joseph Sampognaro, the staff of Ville Ste. Marie, Notre Dame Hospice, and Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare.
A memorial Mass is to be celebrated on Wednesday, October 10 at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 444 Metairie Road, Louisiana 70005. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL at a later time.
