Gail was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Charles Messina, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years. She was an incredible mother to Jason Carl Messina (Hong) and Ryan Scott Messina (Jennifer), and a proud and devoted grandmother to Tyler Messina (Amanda) and Emily Messina.
She is also survived by her loving brother, Kenneth Sonnier (Ronnie Kay), and sister, Debbie Camet. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Irene Sonnier, and her beloved husband, Joseph Charles Messina.
Gail will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her spirit and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A memorial service in the chapel will follow at noon.
