Georgia Waelde Parker passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014. She was 54 years old. She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Parker; her siblings, Joan Gossett, Deborah Kissinger, Carl Waelde (Pattie McGuire), Lynn Waelde (Ashok Srivastava), Barbara Waelde, and Paul Waelde (Perrin Waelde); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Parker; and her parents, Elton and Joan Waelde.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UNO College of Education and Human Development.
