

Gerald Alten Boudreaux, Sr. (1935 – 2016) Boudreaux, Gerald Alten, Sr., beloved Husband, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, graduated to Glory with Our Savior on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the age of 80. Survived by, Cherished and Beloved wife, Janet B. Boudreaux of 59 years. Loving father of Gerald Alten, Jr. (Dana), Gary Allen (Deborah) and Wendy B. Normand (Robert, Sr.). Proud Grandfather of Melissa Weinberg (Mark), Breanna Bergeron (Daniel), Robert Normand, Jr. (Amy), Alicia Blais, (Nicolas), Amandalyn Hoover, (Michael), Kristen Morse, (Edward), Ryan Normand, (April), Cassandra Veillon, (Leon), Darralann Phenis, (Josh), Sophia Boudreaux, Blythe Boudreaux, and 12 Great Grandchildren. Son of the late Noah Alten Boudreaux, Sr. and Mildred Eloise Babylon. Brother of Janice B. Hoth and Noah Alten Boudreaux, Jr. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in New Orleans and lived in Kenner, LA for the last 41 years. Gerald was a retiree of 37 ½ years from Pan American Life Insurance Company from 1956 – 1993 and was also a graduate of Moler Barber College in 1954. Following his retirement from Pan American, Gerald worked for Wenco Parts and Supply for one year for his son-in-law Robert and then was currently working part time for his son Gary, at Lamar Contractors for the last 21 years. Gerald served his country in the Naval reserves for 8 years from 1953 – 1961. Gerald was loved and adored by all that knew him or met him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home Chapel, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Visitation on Monday from 10:30 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital due to Gerald’s love of children.
