Gerald Marion Woods passed away on November 22, 2016 at the age of 68 years old. He was an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service for many years. Gerald is survived by his brother Darryl Woods (Deborah); nieces Jessica Woods, Rachel Woods, and Melissa Woods Huffman (John); one great niece Laila Huffman. He is preceded in death by his parents Marion Woods and Cecilia Durr Woods; his sister Baby Woods; and two aunts, Mary Durr and Sophie Durr Redding (Irwin). The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale assisted living for their continuous care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation beginning at 12:00 pm until service time on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 with a Funeral Mass to be held at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment at All Saints Mausoleum.
