Gilbert W. Bailey

He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Linda Pace Bailey; his brother, William Bailey; nieces and nephews, Monica Smith, Jason Bailey (Caroline), Jill Bailey, William B Bailey, Braxton Bailey, and Stacy Sayes (Joel); great-nieces and nephews, Whitney, Hunter, Sophie, Bailey, Kayce, Ava, Megan, Claire, Ellen, and London; and great-great-nephew Bowen.

Gilbert was a proud veteran of the Unites States Marine Corps and an incredibly dedicated family man. Those he loved wanted for nothing, and he was always there to lend a helping hand. His love for hunting and fishing came only second to his love for his family. Gilbert was an incredibly hard working man, having dedicated over 40 years as an HVAC professional.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gilbert’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, August 9, 2018 beginning at 9:30 am at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel following visitation at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
